Meet Dr. Tsu

My name is Laura Tsu, an Associate OMR for Dental Imaging Diagnostics. I hail from California and studied at University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, graduating in 2017.

Following dental school, I served as a general dentist in the US Army. While stationed in South Korea, I was privileged to work alongside many talented dental specialists, and there I discovered a love for diagnostics and radiology. Our endodontist would review his CBCT scans with me, explaining how to assess for missed canals, detect variations of anatomy, and evaluate whether a retreatment would be a predictable option. The more I reviewed scans, the more excited I was to see beyond what was available in 2-D radiography and utilize these findings to best serve my patients. After serving in the military and working in private practice, I chose to pursue Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. I completed my residency at UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry in 2024 and was chief resident in Fall 2023. My research interests include vertical root fracture detection and accuracy of linear measurements in CBCT.

As an OMR, I aim to add diagnostic value from the perspective of a practicing dentist as well as a radiologist. I am excited to work with Dental Imaging Diagnostics clients, helping them best utilize and understand the findings from CBCT and other advanced imaging technology in oral and maxillofacial radiology.
