Position Overview
The DIDx Internship Program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in dental imaging administration, AI-based imaging projects, and radiology/implant surgical guide design shadowing. This remote internship is designed for individuals seeking exposure to the field of oral and maxillofacial radiology and advanced imaging technology. Interns should expect approximately 10-20 hours of work per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Administrative Support:
- Organize and manage patient imaging files. Review and prepare preliminary reports.
- Submit finalized reports to clients with potential for client liaison activities.
- Coordinate and prepare surgical guide cases by merging STL files with DICOM data.
- Ensure administrative tasks related to case processing are completed before open of business on the following day of case submission.
- AI Project Assistance:
- Assist in the preparation and organization of imaging datasets.
- Label dental images for AI development.
- Support data structuring and management for AI-driven projects.
- Radiology Shadowing:
- Participate in remote radiology shadowing sessions on a weekly basis.
Requirements
- Applicant must be currently attending or graduated from a CODA accredited dental school.
- Sign a Unpaid Internship Agreement that includes HIPAA compliance and non-solicitation to ensure confidentiality and data security.
- Access to a stable and secure high-speed internet connection for remote work.
- Intern must have access to computer capable of running dental imaging and 3D rendering software efficiently. Required software’s will be provided.
